APPRENTICESHIPS

Our apprenticeship programmes are designed to support schools and utilise Apprenticeship Levy funding. The programmes provide funded development opportunities for teaching assistants.

AVAILABLE APPRENTICESHIPS

We offer apprenticeships in the following areas:

  • Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Intermediate)

  • Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Advanced)

  • Supporting Teaching and Learning in School Sport and Physical Education (Advanced)

ELIGIBILITY

  • Over 19 years of age

  • Live and work in England

  • Be employed in a school for a minimum of 16 hours per week

Intermediate Apprenticeship​

  • English A-C GCSE (Level 2) and Maths A-E GCSEs (Level 1) or equivalent

Advanced Apprenticeship

  • 5 A-C GCSEs including English and Maths (Level 2) or equivalent

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a school.

FUNDING

Apprenticeships are fully funded through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). Funding is accessed by employers through their Apprenticeship Levy Digital Account.

We offer support to employers to access their Apprenticeship Levy. Further information can be found here

INTERMEDIATE APPRENTICESHIP IN SUPPORTING TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLS

  • CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities

  • NCFE Level 1 Functional Skills in ICT (if equivalent not achieved)

  • *Optional NCFE Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths

ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN SUPPORTING TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLS

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities

  • NCFE Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT (if equivalent not achieved)

ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN SUPPORTING TEACHING AND LEARNING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SCHOOL SPORT

  • 1st4Sport Level 3 Diploma in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport

  • NCFE Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
